New Delhi. BJP has targeted opposition parties over harassment of women in TMC ruled state West Bengal to Congress ruled Telangana. The party has questioned the silence of Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi. Referring to the incident in Howrah, West Bengal, BJP national spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala said that after the Talibani act of North Dinajpur, Chopra, another Talibani picture of such an act has emerged. This time this picture has come from Howrah, Bengal, where a family is being beaten, a woman's hair is being cut.
Claiming that the criminals in this case have links with Trinamool Congress, he said that this shows that today, not Maa-Mati-Manush but TMC i.e. Talibani mentality and culture has spread in West Bengal. Questioning the silence of Congress leaders, he said that many such incidents are happening in West Bengal but Congress party stalwarts Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and the 'ladki hun, lad sakti hun' brigade are all silent. All of them will remain silent because such incidents are happening in their own state Telangana as well.
He further wrote, in Telangana, a poor woman was tied to an electric pole and beaten up and these leaders who travel all over the country are silent on incidents like Telangana, West Bengal, Sandeshkhali and others. They raise issues of only a few selective places, which clearly shows that they are not concerned about the safety of women, their only concern is their politics.
