According to Valmiki Ramayana, when Bharata requests Shri Ram to return to Ayodhya, repeatedly curses his mother Kaikeyi, then Ram calmly says, 'Bharat, you consider me a noble, truthful, virtuous and well behaved person, then how do you ask me to disobey my father's orders? I do not see any fault in you, but your insulting your mother also does not suit you.' Further, Shri Ram says that the living being is not like God, so he neither does anything nor can do anything according to his will, he flows with time. The end of all collections is separation, the end of all progress is downfall, the end of all associations is separation and the end of everyone's life is death. Just like two pieces of wood floating in the sea sometimes meet each other and then after some time get separated, in the same way in this world, wife, son, family and wealth also get found and separated. After this eternal truth, you should give up sorrow and grief and become healthy and normal. One should rule Ayodhya considering it one's duty.
