WhatsApp is constantly bringing new features to its users. After recently introducing the feature to convert voice notes to text, the company is now gearing up to introduce another big feature. Through this new feature, users will be able to easily translate messages written in any language.
This means that you no longer need a separate translation app to understand messages in any language. WhatsApp is trying to increase its user base through this feature. The company believes that with this feature, people speaking different languages will be able to communicate with each other easily.
How will message translation work on WhatsApp?
According to the report, WhatsApp is preparing to introduce a feature where users will be able to choose whether all their chat messages are automatically translated or not. WhatsApp has to download some language packs for this feature. Initially only a few languages will be supported, including English, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Hindi. With the help of this feature of WhatsApp, no external app is needed to translate the message. This feature can prove to be very useful for users.
A facility to convert voice notes to text
Earlier, WhatsApp has also launched a feature to convert voice notes to text. With the help of this feature, users can read the voice notes instead of listening to them. Currently this feature is in testing phase for select users. According to the report, users will have to download around 150MB of additional app data to use this feature. This feature can be turned on by default, but in some cases users may have to turn it on manually. WhatsApp is preparing to bring this feature to more users soon. Both these features will bring more benefits to WhatsApp users.
