Vivo X Fold 3: Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has recently launched its third generation foldable smartphone series in China. This series includes two foldable smartphones – Vivo X Fold 3 and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. Although so far these smartphones have been launched only in China, but according to reports, Vivo X Fold 3 can soon be launched in India as well.

Design and display

Vivo X Fold 3: In terms of design, both foldable smartphones look quite similar, but there is a lot of difference in features. Both models have an 8.03-inch foldable OLED display, which supports 120Hz LTPO refresh rate and 2748 x 1172 pixel resolution. Apart from this, both have a 6.53-inch OLED panel as a secondary display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate. The Pro model has an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, while the standard model will have a side mounted fingerprint sensor.

Vivo X Fold 3: Vivo claims that these foldable phones are the thinnest foldable smartphones available in the market till date. The Pro model has received an IPX8 rating, while the standard model has an IPX4 water resistant rating.

Camera

Vivo X Fold 3: Talking about the camera, both models have a camera setup with a circular ring design at the back. The standard model has a 50MP primary OIS camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP third camera. At the same time, the Pro model has a 64MP OIS periscope camera, while the other two cameras are the same. Both models have a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calling. The Pro model also has a special V3 imaging chip.

Performance and Battery

Vivo X Fold 3: The standard model has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, while the Pro model has the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Both models get 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The standard model has a 5500mAh battery, which supports 80W fast charging. At the same time, the Pro model has a 5700mAh battery, which supports 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Both the phones have been launched with Origin OS based on Android 14.

Price (Expected)

Vivo X Fold 3: The Vivo X Fold 3 is expected to be priced starting at Rs 81,000 when it launches in India, while the Pro model could be priced starting at Rs 1.15 lakh.
