Mumbai. Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri and Amy Virk's 'Bad News' has made a strong start at the box office. Directed by Anand Tiwari, this film has brought the biggest opening of Vicky Kaushal's career so far. It has surpassed 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' released in the year 2019 in terms of first day earnings.
According to the report of sacnilk, 'Bad News' has collected a net of Rs 8.50 crore in the country on its opening day, Friday. Before its release, the film had an advance booking of Rs 2.67 crore. The best thing is that the number of viewers has increased continuously in every show from morning to night on the first day. In the night shows, more than 37% of the seats in the theatres were occupied by the audience. Whereas on an average, 23% of the seats were occupied in every show.
'Uri: The Surgical Strike' earned Rs 8.20 crore
'Bad News' has become Vicky Kaushal's highest grossing film on opening day. Earlier this title was in the name of 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', which earned Rs 8.20 crore on the first day. However, it will be interesting to see whether 'Uri' can cross its lifetime earnings of Rs 244.14 crore?
