Patna. A political debate has erupted in the country after a decision of the Uttar Pradesh government regarding the month of Shravan. The UP government has ordered all shopkeepers on the Kanwar route in Uttar Pradesh to install name plates. BJP's ally JDU has expressed disagreement with this decision.
JDU national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan said that this decision is not correct at all. Some changes should be made in it. Nitish Kumar government in Bihar has been working continuously for the Kanwariyas for the last 18 years, so that they do not face any problem on the way. He said that the journey of Kanwariyas is like austerity. People of any community, caste are ready to help Kanwariyas, so that they too get the blessings of Mahadev.
The tradition started by the UP government will also lead to discrimination between two communities and castes. People will say that this person is extremely backward, this person is a Dalit, we will not take anything from him. This tradition is not right because it will increase discrimination. Now everyone believes that helping the Kanwadis will bring merit to everyone. Rajiv Ranjan said that this law was made by Mulayam Singh Yadav in 2006, but it was not implemented till date.
It is surprising that the law made by Mulayam Singh is being implemented now. Today Akhilesh Yadav himself has stood against this law. That means, there is opposition to this law there too. At that time in 2005, this happened with the consent of the UPA government. Rajiv Ranjan said that we will only request the UP government to reconsider this. Work according to what the public says. It would be best to adopt certain rules like Bihar.
