Ream the puncture hole with a reamer, this will widen it and make it smooth, allowing the plug to stick better. Now apply rubber cement to both the hole and the plug. Insert the plug i.e. the puncture repair strip into the hole and press it firmly. Make sure that the plug is level with the surface of the tire. (Getty Images)
