Raipur .In a tragic incident in Tarrem area of Bijapur district of Bastar, 2 STF jawans Bharat Sahu and Sater Singh were martyred and 4 jawans were injured in an IED blast carried out by Maoists. This heart-rending incident has shocked the entire state. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma has decided not to celebrate his birthday, hurt by this tragic incident. He has also appealed to all his workers and supporters that today when his brother has been martyred, his heart is hurt and distressed, they should not celebrate his birthday and express their condolences to the martyred jawans and their families in this difficult time. Tomorrow on 19th July, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sharma will not celebrate his birthday.
Mr. Sharma said that the sacrifice of the martyred soldiers will not go in vain and the society and the government will remember their immortal sacrifice! He prayed to God that the souls of the martyred soldiers may rest in peace and that the injured soldiers may recover as soon as possible. He said that this sad and unfortunate incident has forced us to think about the difficult circumstances in which our soldiers perform their duties to serve Bastar.
On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister appreciated the hard work and dedication of the security forces and promised them all possible help and support. He said that the state government will further intensify its action against the Maoists so that such incidents do not recur in future.
Mr Sharma said that the entire state stands with the families of the martyred soldiers. He said that the sacrifice of the martyred soldiers is a symbol of their unwavering loyalty and dedication towards the country and we are proud of their bravery.
Mr Sharma's decision not to celebrate his birthday is a symbol of his deep human sensibilities and patriotism. He said that we should always remember the martyrdom of our soldiers and in their honour we have to remain united and committed to the security and development of the country.
This was the first birthday of Shri Sharma after he became the Deputy Chief Minister. Shri Sharma and his supporters were very excited and preparations were being made for it in full swing. Preparations were going on to celebrate the birthday in various places across the state including Kawardha, but after the decision of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma not to celebrate his birthday, the preparations have been stopped suddenly.
