Lucknow. The Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall in many districts of eastern and western Uttar Pradesh from Thursday. Most parts of the state may receive light rain till July 20.
On Wednesday, Muzaffarnagar received the highest rainfall of 29 mm. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain in Lucknow and surrounding districts on July 19.
There is a possibility of thunderstorms in Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Pilibhit, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur and surrounding areas. At the same time, in eastern Uttar Pradesh, there may be rain at some places and thundershowers at other places. There will be heavy rain across the state from July 21.

Due to the absence of monsoon clouds, the maximum temperature of the day reached 40.8 degrees on Thursday. This is the first time in the last 53 years that such a high temperature has been recorded. People felt uneasy heat in the temperature which was 5.9 degrees above normal.
A slight change in the monsoon is expected from July 20. There may be light rainfall in the next week but right now there is no positive sign of rain in the weather.
