When was the plan started?
Let us tell you that the PM Kisan Yojana was announced in the budget in February 2019. The interim budget was presented in February this year and this budget was presented by the then Finance Minister Piyush Goyal. Currently, more than 9 crore farmers get the benefit of PM Kisan Yojana.
Under this scheme, farmers get an amount of Rs 6000 annually. This amount comes in the form of installments in the farmers' accounts. Every four months, Rs 2000 each is transferred to the farmers' accounts. In June this year, the government transferred the 17th installment to the farmers' accounts.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in the budget speech that 11.8 crore farmers have benefited from the PM Kisan Yojana. Apart from the PM Kisan Yojana, more than 4 crore farmers get the benefit of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. In last year's budget, Rs 13,625 crore was allocated for the Fasal Bima Yojana.
Big announcements made for farmers

The government will help 1 crore farmers to do natural farming in the coming 2 years. The government will launch a mission for pulses and oilseeds. The Finance Minister said that digital public infrastructure will be created for farming. Kisan Credit Card will be launched in 5 states so that more and more farmers can get the benefit of the scheme.
