Mahasamund:
A Sarpanch from Chhattisgarh has staged a unique protest in Delhi. A Sarpanch reached the residence of Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari by lying down on the road with a demand. The Sarpanch's demand is that there is no road in his village. He is not getting funds from where to build the road. Therefore, now he has approached the Union Minister for road construction in the village. Actually, Shatrughan Chelak is the Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Bamburdih in Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh. He has been trying for a long time to get a road constructed in his village but the road is not being constructed. In such a situation, he has staged a unique protest.
According to the information, the people of the village collected donations and gave five thousand rupees to the Sarpanch. The Sarpanch reached Delhi with this money and staged a unique protest demanding a road. The Sarpanch reached the residence of Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari by lying down and rolling on the road, however Nitin Gadkari did not meet the Sarpanch. According to the information, Nitin Gadkari was not at his residence at that time.
Demonstration done for 2 km road
Sarpanch Shatrughan Chelak said that he is tired of running around leaders and officials to get a two-km road built. He is not getting assurance of road construction from anywhere. That is why I have decided to protest in this way. He said that this road is to be built from Ramadabari to Bawankera village. Right now it is a kutcha road. It is difficult to walk on the road during the rainy season. Vehicles coming on it is a far-fetched idea.
People don't even come to get married
The Sarpanch said that due to the lack of a road in the village, people do not come to this village for marriage. Boys and girls are not able to get married due to the lack of a road. The villagers also keep meeting ministers and leaders for this road but till now no decision has been taken to build the road.
The name of the village is not recorded anywhere
The Sarpanch said that the most surprising thing is that the name of our village is not even in the records of the Revenue Department. He said that this village is not even visible in the map of the Government of India and also not in Google. Due to which the people of this village are not able to get the benefits of government schemes.
