Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has given a six-month extension for submission of caste validity certificates to students admitted to various educational institutions for engineering, medical and other professional courses in 2024-25. This has given relief to the children of the Maratha community.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has taken a big decision to give relief to the students. It has been decided to extend a period of six months from the date of application for submission of Caste Validity Certificate to students admitted to various educational institutions for engineering, medical and other professional courses in 2024-25. Therefore, the difficulties faced especially by students of Maratha community in getting certificate will be removed.
Caste certificate is very important document for students. Based on which the students can avail the scheme for scholarship and freeship of the government. The government has decided to give Kunbi caste certificate to the members of Maratha community with Kunbi nod. Accordingly, Maratha community students are applying but they are facing difficulties in getting caste certificate. Due to which the admissions of such students are blocked. For this, the announcement made by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is becoming important.

Proof of Identity – One of the following documents: PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, Passport, Driving License, Photograph, Government Issued Identity Card
Address Proof: Passport, Aadhaar Card, Voting Card, Driving License, Ration Card, Water Bill, Electricity Bill etc.
Fast to death of Manoj Jarang
Manoj Jarange Patil has once again started a fast to demand reservation for Maratha community from OBC. In this demand, there was a demand to give Kunbi caste certificates to the students. The government has taken a decision in this regard. Jarange Patil has also called for a tour of Western Maharashtra on August 7 regarding Sage Soyari. Today, the third day of Jarange Patil's protest, a medical team had entered the protest site to check his health. Jarange Patil has started his fast to death from Saturday 20th July. Earlier, Manoj Jarange Patil had given the government a deadline till July 13 regarding the demands of reservations.
