The Google Store India website has revealed the launch date of the Pixel 9 series as August 14, which is just a day after the US and global launch of the smartphone. Google's post also hints at the design of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Let's take a look at the details revealed so far.
The phone's launch was teased on X
Google India wrote in its post “Out with the old. In with the fold. Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, first time in India.” Let us tell you that this will be Google's first foldable phone in the Indian market.
They will compete in India
In India, it will compete with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and OnePlus Fold. The teaser also reveals that the new phones will debut with AI features.
What will be special in Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold
The official teaser shows that the phone will come with a stunning design with a dual-pill-shaped camera cutout on the back panel. The cameras are housed inside a rectangular camera module at the top-left corner of the rear panel.
Although the teaser does not reveal the camera on the inside of the screen, it is rumoured that the phone will have a punch-hole camera cutout on the left side of the screen.
It is said to feature a 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 primary wide sensor along with a 12-megapixel Samsung 3LU ultra-wide-angle camera and a 10.5-megapixel Samsung 3J1 telephoto sensor.
It will have 10-megapixel Samsung 3K1 sensors on both the inside and outside cover screen for selfies.
This will be the price of a foldable phone
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold, a successor to the original Pixel Fold, could be available in Obsidian and Porcelain colour options.
This foldable device can be priced at Euro 1,899 (roughly Rs. 1,68,900) for the 256GB model and Euro 2,029 (roughly Rs. 1,80,500) for the 512GB model.
