On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, in view of the monsoon session, 2024, a total amount of ₹ 130 crore (Rs. one hundred thirty crore only) has been approved at the rate of ₹ 10 crore on the resolution of all the District Magistrates of the state for the repair and reconstruction works to be done under the State Disaster Relief Fund. The Secretary, Disaster Management Department has been directed to immediately allocate the said amount to the districts.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister has directed all the District Magistrates to get the assets damaged by the disaster reconstructed as soon as possible with the amount sanctioned under the repair and reconstruction head and no delay will be acceptable in this. In the meeting held recently regarding monsoon, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had directed that the works to be done under the disaster should be done on priority basis.
And whatever amount is required for repair and reconstruction works should be immediately given to all districts. In this sequence, on Thursday, the government has sanctioned ₹ 130.00 crores from SDRF funds for repair and reconstruction works of damaged assets. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the government is fully prepared to deal with disasters and all departments are fully prepared.
The government's intention is clear that the common people should face minimum difficulties due to disasters. The government is working with this goal. He has said that relief and rescue operations are being carried out promptly after the disaster. There will be no shortage of funds for disaster related works. Instructions have been given to all the District Magistrates.
So that common people do not face any problem related to electricity, water, food grains, medical etc. during the monsoon season. He also said that the Disaster Management Department is constantly monitoring the situation. Emergency Operations Centers are working 24X7 at the state and district level and are working to provide relief to the general public.
