New Delhi,
The month of Sawan has begun and with it the holy Kanwar Yatra has begun. Lines of devotees carrying Gangajal in pitchers will be seen on the roads from today. People call these devotees immersed in Shiva devotion 'Bhole'. Two devotees were found carrying Gangajal in Haridwar. One of them is a Hindu and the other is a Muslim. Their devotion is a living example of Ganga-Jamuni culture and harmony. On the other hand, the Supreme Court's decision on the nameplate order on the first day of the month of Sawan has also brought happiness among all the shopkeepers and hawkers.
On Monday, the Supreme Court stayed the decision to make it mandatory for shopkeepers to put up nameplates on the Kanwar Yatra route in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. There is a wave of happiness among shopkeepers after the Supreme Court's interim stay. Nameplates are now being removed from shops. The Supreme Court has also issued notices to the UP, Uttarakhand and Tezzbuzz governments. The next hearing in this case will now be held on July 26.
Supreme Court imposed interim stay
The Supreme Court said that keeping in mind the points of discussion, we deem it appropriate to pass an interim order to stay the implementation of the above instructions. The Supreme Court said that food vendors including Dhaba owners, fruit vendors, hawkers may be required to display the type of food or material, but they should not be forced to reveal the identity of the owners. The Supreme Court has currently issued notice to the governments of UP and Uttarakhand. The court said that if the petitioners add other states, then notice will be issued to those states as well.
Harsh and Salman are carrying Kanwad
We talked to two devotees carrying Kanwar in Haridwar on the nameplate controversy. One of them is named Harsh Kataria and the other is Mohammad Salman. Both of them have come from Delhi. Salman said that he will offer this water in the Shiv temple. Neither his family nor his community has any objection to Salman going to the temple.
Harsh said that he also goes to the mosque with Salman. He said that his friend Salman has followed all the rules and regulations regarding Kanwar. On the nameplate controversy, he said that he does not discriminate while going to dhabas for food. Before eating at any hotel, he just asks whether garlic and onion have been added to the food or not. During the conversation, it was revealed that Salman is also not eating garlic and onion with his friends at this time.
Opposition attacking the government
After the Supreme Court's decision, the opposition is attacking the government. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said, 'When I got the information, I had said that the Supreme Court itself should take cognizance of this and stop such action. Just like a lamp flutters before it is extinguished, this lamp of communal politics is fluttering and that is why such decisions are being taken. BJP is sad that communal politics is going to end.'
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that this is the order of the Supreme Court, everyone will have to obey it. Whatever Hitler did, you are doing the same here. Will this country be run by religion or the Constitution? The government is not of any one community, it is of all communities.
