Amroha. Police raided a hotel in Hasanpur Kotwali area of Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh. During the raid, many couples were found inside the hotel, who were taken into custody by the police. The hotel operator was running a illegal business under the guise of the hotel. Taking cognizance of the complaint of the villagers, SDM Sunita Singh, CO Deep Kumar Pant raided a hotel. Police raided eight rooms of the hotel. During this, the team found eight couples in objectionable condition. Along with this, the administration sealed the Oyo hotel, after which there was a stir in the area.
On the other hand, the administration has ordered action against the accused hotel operator. This sudden raid has created panic among the hotel operators who do wrong things under the guise of hotels. The illegal business of prostitution is going on in full swing in the district. The business is being run by taking Oyo's franchise without registration under the Sarai Act. Brokers of prostitution trap young men in their net and collect huge amounts of money by colluding with hotel operators. Hotel operators provide rooms without ID by charging more money.
The eight couples detained by the police include six girls and two women. One of these women had reached the hotel with an innocent child. According to information, the woman was married about two years ago. She is a resident of a village in the area. She had come to Hasanpur town with her family for shopping. Meanwhile, the woman reached the hotel on the pretext of taking medicine from her family members and was caught by the police there. All the boys caught were said to be from nearby villages.
Hasanpur SDM Sunita Singh said, 'Confidential information was received that prostitution is being conducted in the hotel. We raided the hotel with the CO. Eight couples were detained in the hotel. During this, the hotel owner fled. Eight couples were found in eight rooms. Police is taking action against all of them. We asked for documents to see if the hotel is being run legally or not. The hotel has been sealed as the documents were not found.
A woman was separated from her family on the pretext of medicine
A woman caught in a hotel during a raid by SDM and CO had come to Hasanpur with her mother-in-law and other family members. Leaving other family members in the market, the woman went to meet her lover in a hotel near the hospital on the pretext of getting medicine. She was caught when a sudden raid was conducted.
