Meerut. Sensation spread in the area when the body of a missing person from village Khandawali in Kharkhoda area was found hanging from a tree. Villagers passing by saw the body and informed the police. It is suspected that he committed suicide due to his poor financial condition.
Mahesh Giri, 48-year-old son of Nanak Chand Giri, a resident of Khandavali, was missing since Thursday evening. The family searched a lot during the night but could not find any trace of him. When some farmers reached the Khandavali Kharkhauda connecting road on Friday morning, Mahesh Giri's body was found hanging from a sheesham tree in a field. On receiving the information, the police reached there and took the body into custody.
According to the police, the deceased had a huge debt, due to which his financial condition was very weak. Mahesh Giri had already sold his agricultural land. It is being told that due to the pressure of the creditors, Mahesh Giri also sold half of his house two days ago. It is also being discussed that his wife got angry due to the sale of the house and she went to her maternal home in Uttarakhand. Now Mahesh Giri was running his household expenses by taking the land of a person of his own community on contract. However, the family members say that he committed suicide due to the departure of his wife.
