Dehradun. Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi today planted a tree in the tree plantation program organized at Senior Citizen Park in Dehradun Kandoli Chidowali on the occasion of folk festival Harela and under the campaign 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam'.
During this, Minister Ganesh Joshi gave the message of environmental protection by planting a tree in honor of the mother under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign. Minister Ganesh Joshi appealed to everyone to contribute to making the environment green by ensuring maximum participation in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign.
He said that today water sources are drying up due to the cutting of trees which is a matter of concern. Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi said that due to climate change, there will be no rain during monsoon and excessive rain without monsoon, which will affect our crop cycle, due to the crop cycle being affected, many problems like food crisis can arise in front of all of us.
He said that tree plantation is done on a large scale every year, he appealed to everyone to check the trees we plant and see how much they have grown the next year, and also take full care of them. During this, the members of the committee also submitted a demand letter regarding the renovation and beautification of the park. On which Minister Ganesh Joshi gave positive assurance and assured necessary action soon.
On this occasion, committee president Subhash Nautiyal, secretary I.S. Chauhan, treasurer K.S Rawat, divisional president Pradeep Rawat, metropolitan general secretary Surendra Rana, Manjeet Rawat, Sanjay Nautiyal, divisional general secretary Ashish Sharma, Chunni Lal, Ajay Karki and many others were present.
