Bhopal. Monsoon activities are continuing in Tezzbuzz. The entire state is getting wet due to the strong rain system being active. More strong activity of the system will be seen from Saturday. Today, heavy rain is expected in 21 districts including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur. Orange alert has been issued for heavy rain in Sehore, Narmadapuram, Betul, Khandwa, Khargone, Pandhurna, Seoni, Balaghat.
The Meteorological Department said that the low pressure area has become active over the Bay of Bengal. It will move forward in the next 24 hours. It will move forward crossing Odisha, Chhattisgarh. At the same time, cyclonic circulation is also active, while the monsoon trough line is active towards the south-east and over the western-central Bay of Bengal via Jaisalmer, Kota, Guna, Sagar, Raipur, Puri. Due to these reasons, there will be heavy rains in the entire state.
Before this, the rain continued in the state on Friday as well. From 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, 36 mm i.e. 1.5 inches of rain fell. At the same time, more than 1 inch of water fell in Raisen. Rain also continued in Guna, Gwalior, Chhindwara, Sagar, Satna and Malajkhand. So far, 11.4 inches of rain has fallen in the state, which is 35 percent of the total rain quota. Due to heavy rain, water is also increasing in dams and ponds. During the last 24 hours, water increased by one to two and a half feet in Kolar Dam of Sehore, Bansagar of Shahdol, Indira Sagar of Khandwa, Tawa Dam of Narmadapuram, Kaliyasot Dam of Bhopal, Mohanpura and Kundaliya Dam of Rajgarh. Water has also increased by half a feet in Bhopal's lifeline Bada Talab.
