On the first day of the week, on Monday, the 30-share Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange plunged 500 points as soon as the market opened, but after that a sharp recovery is being seen. At 10.15 am, the Sensex was trading 70 points higher. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange's Nifty also opened with a slip of more than 100 points, but the Nifty is also now trading in the green zone. It is worth noting that tomorrow on July 23, 2024, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget in Parliament.

The stock market had a bad start on Monday. The BSE Sensex started trading at 80,408.90, down 200 points from its previous close of 80,604.65, and in the next five minutes it slipped 500 points to reach 80,103.77. Like the Sensex, the NSE Nifty also opened in the red and started trading at 24,445.75 as compared to its previous close of 24,530.90, and in the very next moment it fell 147.50 points to reach 24,383.40.

On Monday, the biggest losers in the stock market were Kotat Bank Share, a large cap company, which fell 3.52% to Rs 1757, while the Reliance Share, owned by Asia's richest man Mukesh Ambani, fell 2.01% to trade at Rs 3047.
Among the midcap companies, the share of Tata Group's AC manufacturing company Voltas also fell badly. Voltas Share was trading at Rs 1442, down 2.44%. Apart from this, KSoves Share, among the smallcap companies, was trading with a decline of 8.31% and Kirlpnu Share was trading with a decline of 7.32%.

The country's budget (Budget 2024) will be presented tomorrow on 23 July 2024. This will be the first budget of the third term of the Modi government.
