Mobile News Desk – South Korean smartphone maker Samsung has said that its recently launched new foldable smartphone has received a strong response in India. Within 24 hours of the start of pre-orders for the company's Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, a large number of customers have placed orders for them. This number is 40 percent more than Samsung's previous foldable smartphone series.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 were launched on July 10. With this, pre-orders for these smartphones started in the country. Along with these smartphones, the sale of Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will start from July 24. Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 have Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 as the processor. These smartphones also have features related to Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The starting price of Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the country is Rs 1,64,999 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 is Rs 1,09,999. You will get a cashback of up to Rs 8,000 on purchasing these smartphones with HDFC Bank card. The company has said that Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 will be manufactured at the Noida factory in Uttar Pradesh.
Samsung has postponed the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra. Earlier it was reported that the company is working on a thinner version of the upcoming Galaxy Z 6 Fold smartphone. It can be brought as an ultra or slim model with a bigger screen. Recently WinFuture reported that Samsung has postponed the launch of this smartphone. Competition may increase for the company in the foldable segment of smartphones as Motorola has recently introduced the Razr 50 Ultra, which will compete with Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6. According to the foldable smartphone shipment tracker of market research firm Counterpoint, Huawei ranked first in the international foldable smartphone market in the first quarter of this year. It overtook Samsung for the first time.
