Bastad. Fourteen-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal continued his Olympic preparations with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Cameron Norrie at the Bastad Open on Thursday. The 38-year-old Spaniard continued his winning ways on the Swedish clay courts as he reached the quarterfinals, recording his ninth Tour win of the year. It was his first consecutive two wins since reaching the last-16 of the Madrid Open in April. “It feels great now, I haven't played on Tour since Roland Garros and I got a chance to do well against a great player like Cameron. I think I played good tennis for a few moments,” Nadal said during his on-court interview after the match. Nadal will next face Mariano Navon in the quarterfinals after the fourth seeded Argentine defeated India's Sumit Nagal in straight sets. The 23-year-old world number 36 is the highest seed in the draw, while Dutch third seed Tallon Griekspoor was knocked out earlier by Kazakh qualifier Timofey Skatov.
