Patna : A big news is coming for the people living in Bihar. According to the latest report, the Bihar government has abolished the power of the Mukhiya in the Panchayat tenders. For this, the government has made it mandatory to have new regulations. This will put a check on the Mukhiya.
According to the news, today i.e. on 19th July, a cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Many important decisions were taken in this meeting. This includes decisions related to Panchayat tenders, which have been approved.
According to the new order, a panel of contractors will be made for small works in the Panchayat. Bids will be made and the person selected in the bid will be given the work. Tenders will now be issued even for works less than 15 lakhs. After this, the contractor will be selected. All this will be done at the government level. This will end the arbitrary behaviour of the Mukhiya.
