Dehradun: Congress welcomed the decision of the Dhami cabinet to stop the misuse of the names of the Dhams. Along with this, questions were also raised on how the strict law to be made can be implemented in other states. Former Congress President Ganesh Godiyal, while talking to the media at the Congress Bhavan on Friday, also cornered the government on the foundation stone laying of Kedarnath Dham in Telangana.
Godiyal said that the government took a tough decision in the cabinet, Congress welcomes it. Congress has always done positive politics. If the government has done some good work, then they have no problem in welcoming it. He said that now the government should also accept that it was a mistake to participate in the Bhoomi Pujan of Kedarnath temple in Delhi.
He said that the government should also tell how the law being made in Uttarakhand will be implemented in other states as well. Now another temple is being built in the name of Kedarnath Dham in Telangana. He said that he did not participate in the construction of the temple built in the name of Badrinath Dham in Mumbai during the Congress rule. Neither did the then CM participate. He said that it is not a temple but a big wedding hall.
Where marriage ceremonies are held. He too had gone to that hall to attend a wedding. Youth Congress President Sumittar Bhullar, Chief Spokesperson Garima Dasauni were present on this occasion.
