Yadav can remain captain till World Cup-2026
Suryakumar Yadav posted an emotional message through his Instagram post in which he thanked fans for the love and support shown to him. Suryakumar has replaced Rohit Sharma as India's T20 captain. It is believed that he will captain the Indian U20 team from the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka till the U20 World Cup 2026.
Suryakumar wrote on Instagram, Thank you so much for all the love, support and well wishes. The past few weeks have been nothing short of a dream and I am truly grateful. Playing for the country is the most special feeling I can't explain in words. This new role brings with it a lot of responsibility, enthusiasm and passion. I hope I continue to receive your support and blessings. All fame reaches God, God is great. Let us tell you that under the captaincy of Suryakumar, India won the 5-match T20I series against Australia by 4-1. Under his captaincy, India also tied the series against South Africa 1-1 in December. Selectors and head coach Gautam Gambhir have handed over new responsibility to Suryakumar Yadav.
