How to worship Shami tree?
- First of all, clean the Shami tree thoroughly in Brahma Muhurta.
- Sprinkle water on the trunk of the tree and make a swastika sign with Roli.
- Install the idols of Lord Ganesha, Mata Lakshmi and Shanidev under the tree.
- Offer water, flowers, fruits, sweets, betelnut, camphor, incense, lamp, roli, sandalwood, mauli, coconut, nagarvel leaf.
- Tie a red cloth on the tree.
- Burn incense and light a lamp.
- Circumambulate the Shami tree and chant mantras.
- At last pray to god and take blessings.
