Ingredients for making Makhana Kheer
If you have to prepare makhana kheer for 5 people, then take two cups of makhana. Take one spoon of Desi ghee, 4-5 cups of milk, some dry fruits and nuts (cut and keep aside), 3-4 strands of saffron (soak in two spoons of milk), green cardamom powder (half teaspoon), sugar according to taste.
Make makhana kheer like this
First of all, put some ghee in the pan and fry all the nuts and dry fruits lightly. Take it aside and then add makhanas and fry till they become crispy. When makhanas cool down a little, put them in the mixer and grind them. Take a deep pan and put milk in it and put it on for boiling. When the milk starts boiling, add sugar to it and let it dissolve. Now add ground makhanas and cardamom powder to it, mix and cook for five minutes. Save some dry fruits and nuts, mix the rest in the kheer. Cook till it becomes slightly thick. After this, add the saffron that was mixed in the milk. Your delicious makhana kheer is ready.
