Mumbai: In a shocking incident at Mulund gym in Mumbai, a man was left severely injured after a trainer struck him on the head with a weightlifting club. The incident was caught on camera by the gym’s CCTV cameras. After the victim’s complaint, the trainer was taken into custody by the authorities. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
According to police reports, the incident occurred on Wednesday. The CCTV footage shows Shinde engaged in a workout session, receiving guidance from a trainer. Meanwhile, another trainer, initially standing at a distance, approaches Shinde with a weightlifting club and strikes him on the head. As Shinde clutches his head in agony and collapses, other trainers rush to intervene and restrain the assailant.
Shinde told the police that he had no prior altercation with the trainer, but the trainer was fixated on him before the assault. He even tried to clarify if he was performing the exercises incorrectly, but the trainer remained silent and unexpectedly struck him without provocation.”
