WhatsApp is working on a feature that will automatically create a gradient in the background when a status is posted.
WABetaInfo has shared information about this, and has told that the upcoming feature is currently for beta testers, and it is for Android beta 2.24.15.11 version. In this new update, a new interface will be seen in the status update. In this, the screen will look different when you apply status. On applying status, a gradient will automatically appear on the background. Also, the option to mute the screen or report the status will be given on the screen itself.

The new status update feature is available on Google Play Store. WB has also shared a screenshot of it, and has told how the upcoming feature will look. It can be seen that whenever the user puts a photo or video in the status, the background will give the shadow of the same photo or video in the background.

No phone number will be needed
Earlier it was known that WhatsApp users will soon get the facility of unique username feature. In this, there will be no need to save mobile number to chat with each other. The company is going to release this new feature soon.
Currently, the username feature is in the development stage. It will soon be rolled out for beta users. With the help of this feature, users will be able to create a unique username for themselves, so that they will not have to share their phone number. It would not be wrong to say that the company wants to introduce this feature keeping privacy in mind.
