Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, the renowned scriptwriter known for his hit drama series, has recently become the subject of controversy after purported screenshots surfaced, showing him engaging in flirtatious messages with a female television host

The images were posted by a Facebook user identified as Zahir Mehmood, who claims to be a journalist.

According to Mehmood, the alleged conversation occurred on August 13, 2022, during a Pakistan Independence Day event where Qamar was a guest of honor.

Mehmood’s post suggested that the dialogue took place in his presence and involves his unnamed female friend who had welcomed Qamar with a song.

Mehmood recounted that during the event, Qamar gave a speech on themes of respect for women and workplace harassment.

Following the speech, Qamar allegedly praised the female host and requested her phone number, which she provided out of enthusiasm.

Mehmood claimed that he was shown screenshots of a subsequent chat where Qamar made flirtatious remarks and offered to provide singing practice.

Mehmood has stated that he can authenticate the screenshots if required and has challenged anyone to file a defamation suit if he fails to substantiate his claims.

Earlier, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar was targeted in a harrowing robbery and abduction incident.

Reports reveal that a woman named Amina lured Qamar to her residence under the guise of discussing a drama project. Upon his arrival, armed assailants seized him and demanded ransom.

Qamar managed to secure his release by paying a significant amount to the kidnappers. The Sundar Police have since filed a case based on his account.

The FIR details a brutal ordeal, with Qamar being beaten and moved between various locations. The kidnappers also threatened his life and coerced his relatives for additional funds.
