Kathmandu, July 22 (Tezzbuzz). Nepal's new Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has talked about solving the border dispute with India diplomatically. He said that he is confident that all problems will be resolved through diplomatic talks at all levels between Nepal and India.
Responding to questions from MPs on Monday, the day after winning the trust vote in Parliament, Prime Minister Oli said that the government wants a diplomatic solution to Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura by amending the Constitution unanimously in the Nepal Parliament. Oli said that since we have staked our claim on these areas through constitutional amendment in Parliament, we are not backing down from it but we want a long-term solution to it.
Prime Minister Oli said that during all the level talks with India, both the countries are serious about the border problem. Oli said that during the last talks held at the Prime Minister level, there was a clear consensus on solving the border problem. Oli claims that soon the Border Working Group will be reactivated regarding the border problem.
