Kathmandu, July 19 (HS). Eight days after two buses were swept away by a landslide in Nepal's Chitwan district last week, two more bodies were recovered from Bihar's Bagaha on Friday. Out of the 65 passengers missing in the accident, a total of 22 bodies have been recovered so far. No trace of the two buses has been found yet.
Nepal's Armed Police Force spokesperson Shailendra Thapa, who is involved in the relief and rescue operation, told media persons that two bodies have been recovered from the Narayani river flowing in the Indian border. Both the bodies are of the passengers missing in the bus accident. According to Thapa, the soldiers of the Indian Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) found two bodies on the banks of the Narayani river flowing in Bihar's Bagaha. The SSB soldiers will hand over both the bodies to the Nepal Armed Police Force. According to Thapa, out of the 22 bodies recovered so far, only 14 have been identified. Most of the bodies have been recovered from the Narayani River (Gandak River) itself.
