Nearly a week after the attack on him, former US President Donald Trump has given an emotional reaction. At the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, USA, Trump said that my life was saved in the last moments. My life was saved by shaking my head at the last moment. If I had not shaken my head, I would have been shot. I stood calmly amidst the firing. The Secret Service saved my life. The Secret Service sniper killed the attacker. The Secret Service put itself in danger to save my life. If I am standing here, it is only by the grace of Almighty God.

“I wouldn't be here today”

At the end of his story of the attack, Trump said in the gathering, “I should not have been here tonight.” On this, the crowd shouted, “Yes, you should have!” Trump said that if I am standing here, then it is only by the grace of the Almighty God.

“I am saving democracy”

Speaking on the allegations and case against him, Trump said that the Democrats are misusing the law and called himself the protector of democracy. He said that we are all one and are under one God, freedom and justice are for all. We should not make dissent a crime or look at political dissent with a bad eye.

Trump's tone changed after the attack

Trump's style of giving speeches seemed quite changed and he has returned to his old style. He is attacking the Democrats, but is not taking the help of teleprompter. In this meeting, Trump said many things which were not written on the teleprompter and Trump kept speaking with enthusiasm and the people present in the meeting kept praising him.
