A petition has been filed in the High Court against NSA on behalf of MP Amritpal Singh. Amritpal Singh has appealed to the High Court to remove the National Security Protection Act, calling it illegitimate and illegal. The Central and Punjab governments have been made parties in this petition. The next hearing of this case will be held next week. Amritpal Singh is currently lodged in Dibrugarh jail in Assam. In this petition, Amritpal Singh has said that the reasons given by the Punjab government for imposing NSA on him for the second time are wrong. Amritpal Singh is an elected MP from Khadoor Sahib.
