Mohammed Shami said that there is always competition between him and Virat Kohli. Mohammed Shami said that Virat likes to take challenges. He said that
“With Virat, we always challenge each other. He likes to play good shots and I like to get him out. Doing this shows a good bonding and friendship. This helps you understand the fielding position. I challenge Virat to score more runs against me. We enjoy doing this. However, Virat Kohli gets irritated if he gets out 2-3 times.”

“Rohit says in advance that, 'I don't like to play this.' He refuses in advance.”
Mohammed Shami played his last match for India against Australia in the final of the ICC World Cup 2023. Now he is recovering from his injury and it is believed that now Mohammed Shami can make a comeback in the Test series against Bangladesh this year.
