Microsoft Server Down, Hyderabad: There has been a lot of chaos due to a sudden technical glitch in Microsoft's server on Friday (19 July). The server crash has affected air services across the world including India. The biggest impact is seen in airports and banks. On the other hand, 23 domestic flights were cancelled on Friday at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport due to a global glitch in Microsoft. Due to which passengers are facing a lot of problems.
Microsoft Server Down: 12 take-offs and 11 landings cancelled
Airport sources said that due to disruption in IT services, various airlines had to cancel 12 take-offs and 11 landings. The situation remained the same till noon. The number of cancelled flights may increase further, as IT services have not been restored yet.
The airport said in a message sent to passengers, “We are working closely with all our partners to minimize the inconvenience of our passengers. Please contact the concerned airline for your flight information.” After this, passengers started inquiring about the status of flights from airlines. Those who had reached the airport but were later informed about the cancellation of their flights were seen inquiring about refunds from the airlines.
How did the Microsoft Server fail?
According to the information, millions of Windows users across the world are facing the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error. In India too, many airlines including Indigo, SpiceJet have complained of technical problems in the system. It is not yet clear where the actual problem is.

However, initial information suggests that this problem is caused by BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) in Windows. This problem has started due to an update released by cyber security company CrowdStrike. It is reportedly being said that this update is part of the Falcon suite of software that provides cyber security to the computer.
