Recently Anurag Kashyap had talked about the arbitrary demands of actors. He had also said about hair and makeup artists that directors and cameramen charge more money. Now makeup artist Shan Mutthathil has retaliated to Anurag's statement.
He said that Anurag himself should start working for less money. His films do not require hair and makeup artists. The heroine of his film wears a cotton saree worth Rs 250.
Makeup artist Shan Mutthathil has worked with actresses like Jacqueline Fernandez and Shraddha Kapoor in his 20-year career. During an interview, he expressed his displeasure over Anurag Kashyap's statement. Shan said- Anurag has given many hit films. Will he do a film for the same money as a new director? He is saying such things out of jealousy.
Shaan further said- Not everyone in the industry gets high fees, only a few select people earn one to two lakh rupees. They might lose their temper on hearing this. I never demanded such a high fee for Anurag's film.
I know he won't. He doesn't need a high-paying hair or makeup artist. He doesn't do a film that has a chiffon sari and blow-dried hair. His films are set in a village with a heroine in a Rs 250 cotton sari who wakes up and cries.
Let us tell you that recently during an interview Anurag Kashyap talked about the desired demands of stars. He said that an actor had demanded a chef for his film, who would charge 2 lakh rupees per day for cooking food. Anurag also said that some hair and makeup artists charge 75 thousand rupees per day. Their fees are even more than technicians. He said that if he himself was a hair or makeup artist, he would have been richer.
