Ingredients for making Millet and Almond Kheer
Millet: 1/2 cup
Milk: 1 liter
Almonds: 15-20 (soaked and finely chopped)
Sugar: 1/2 cup (according to taste)
Ghee: 1 tsp
Cardamom powder: 1/2 teaspoon
Cashews, pistachios: 2-3 teaspoons (chopped)
Raisins: 1 teaspoon
Saffron: a few strands (optional)

- Soak the millets in water for 2-3 hours.
- Cook the soaked millet in a pressure cooker for 2-3 whistles. After cooking, cool it and grind it coarsely.
- Boil milk in a deep vessel. 4. Add ground millet to the boiling milk and cook on medium flame. Keep mixing it well so that lumps do not form.
- When the millet is well mixed in the milk and the kheer starts thickening, then add chopped almonds to it.
- Add sugar to the kheer and mix well.
- Add cardamom powder to the kheer and mix the mixture well. 8. Add chopped cashews, pistachios and raisins and mix well.
- Make the kheer more delicious by adding a spoonful of ghee.
