New Delhi : All the shopkeepers selling food items on the Kanwar Yatra route in Uttar Pradesh have been instructed to write their identity. As per this order, shopkeepers will have to put their name plates on hotels, dhabas, shops and carts on the Kanwar route so that the Kanwariyas can know from whom they are buying the goods. On the lines of UP, a similar order has been issued in Uttarakhand as well. The SSP of Haridwar has also given instructions to keep Aadhaar card and identity card with them. In fact, in view of the Kanwar Yatra, such instructions were first issued by the Muzaffarnagar Police Administration, in which shopkeepers were asked to write their names on the entire route. After which the opposition parties targeted the BJP. Earlier it was believed that this decision could be withdrawn but on Friday CM Yogi Adityanath gave it further expansion and ordered to write the identity on the shops on the Kanwar Yatra route across the state.
Instructions for writing identification on all shops
Taking a big step for the Kanwar pilgrims, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi has issued an order to put up 'nameplates' on food shops on the Kanwar routes across the state and instructed all shopkeepers to follow it. This has been done so that the sanctity of the faith of the Kanwar pilgrims can be maintained. Not only this, products with Halal certification have also been banned. Action will be taken against those who do this.
Order issued in Uttarakhand too
On the lines of UP, a similar order has been issued in Uttarakhand as well. Haridwar DM Dheeraj Garbiyal said that we have ordered the Municipal Corporation that whatever licenses are issued by them, those licenses will have to be used temporarily by the people setting up handcarts, hawkers and dhabas because every year people from many other states also come here, due to which many types of incidents have been seen during the Yatra, to avoid this, this type of decision has been taken. In Uttarakhand too, for the Kanwar Yatra, the handcart and dhaba owners have been instructed to write their proprietor's name and keep their license and Aadhar card with them. Crores of Kanwariyas come to Haridwar to collect water from the Ganga.
Know why this decision was taken?
In fact, a similar demand was raised last year too, when Guru Yashveer Maharaj of Yoga Sadhna Ashram had accused many Muslims of putting pictures of Hindu deities on their shops on the entire route from Haridwar. He said that the people working at these shops should write their names so that the devotees can know where they are sitting and eating. After this, pictures of Hindu deities were also removed from many dhabas, but this time the government has issued an order to everyone to write their names.
