job alert: ED has now decided to appoint a total of 42 computer engineers to increase the use of latest technology in regular work and for cyber security. In this, seven system analyst posts and 36 technical support staff will be recruited. This recruitment is on contract basis and the appointed person will be able to work in the computerized system of ED for five years.

This appointment will be for important tasks like ED transactions over the Internet, cyber security, handling essential software systems, e-mail services and support, video conferencing support. In this, the system analyst will be paid Rs 70 thousand per month, while the technical support staff will be paid Rs 55,000 per month.

Confidentiality Agreement with Employees

• Initially, all these employees will be appointed for a period of three years but this employment contract can be extended up to five years.
• Since the work in the ED is sensitive, selected employees must also sign a non-disclosure agreement.
• The selected candidates will have to work in different ED offices across the country.
