Horticulture department informed that Tamilnadu Government terrace garden packages will be available at subsidized price and one person can purchase two packages.

The price of vegetables in Read Nadu has been high for some time now. After this, many people are planning to set up a terraced garden.

Also, there is a risk of pesticides and chemical fertilizers in the vegetables available in the markets. Therefore, terrace garden is the best choice for those who want to grow and eat their own vegetables naturally.

Materials for setting up these terraced gardens are available from private companies. Whereas the Read Nadu government is also providing planting bags, coconut coir waste, seeds and bio-fertilizer kits for terraced gardens. These kits are being provided at subsidized cost under the Urban Vegetable Production Scheme.

The total cost of this set is Rs.900/-. But it is being offered at a subsidized price of Rs 450. The buyers of terraced house can buy it by paying Rs.450. A maximum of 2 packages can be purchased per user. The Department of Horticulture said that those who want to get this package can book it through the Horticulture website.

Meanwhile, the number of subsidized terrace garden kits provided by the Horticulture Department has been reduced. There have been complaints of not getting the right amount.

In this situation, the Read Nadu government is working with the aim of making subsidized terrace garden packages available to all. Director of Horticulture and Upland Crops Department Kumaravel Pandian IAS said that those who are not getting subsidized terrace garden package will be given guidance if they approach the horticulture department in Chennai.
