Infosys, the country's second largest information and technology (IT) company, has announced the results of the first quarter (April-June) of the current financial year 2023-24. In the April-June quarter, the company's profit jumped 7.1 percent to Rs 6,368 crore. In the same quarter of the previous financial year, the company had a profit of Rs 5,945 crore.
Infosys informed the stock market on Thursday that the company's profit in the April-June quarter has increased by 7.1 percent to Rs 6,368 crore. In the same quarter of the previous financial year, the company had a net profit of Rs 5,945 crore. However, the company's profit has come down by 20 percent on a quarterly basis. In the January-March quarter of the financial year 2023-24, the company had earned a net profit of Rs 7,969 crore.
Salil Parekh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) of the company said that we have started the current financial year 2024-25 on a great note. This has seen strong and broad-based growth, operating margin expansion, strong large deals and the highest ever cash generation, which is a testimony to our differentiated service offerings, immense trust among customers and consistent execution.
Infosys has also increased its growth forecast for the financial year 2024-25. For the current financial year, the company has increased its revenue growth forecast in constant currency to three-four percent. The company's stock jumped 2.20 percent to close at Rs 1,764 today before the results were announced.
