A travel influencer lost her life after falling off a waterfall into a 350-foot gorge while filming a reel for her Instagram.

The deceased, identified as 26-year-old Aanvi Kamdar, was a well-known Indian Instagram influencer famous for her travel content, according to an Indian media outlet.

The tragic incident occurred at Kumbhe waterfall near Raigad in Maharashtra, India. Kamdar fell off the waterfall and sustained serious injuries.

Rescue workers, including the Indian Coast Guard, arrived at the scene and launched a search-and-rescue operation that lasted around six hours.

Authorities found Aanvi Kamdar in the gorge and rescued her. She was moved to a nearby hospital but succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

A rescue worker told Indian media that Kamdar was initially thought to be dead on the spot, but she responded with a faint sound when paramedics checked her pulse.

Kamdar was then carried on a stretcher and lifted using a rope. She was admitted to Managaon Taluka Government Hospital, where she died while undergoing treatment for her injuries.
