New Delhi. The Indian team, which started the Women's Asia Cup with a resounding victory against Pakistan, played against UAE in the second match. After losing the toss, the Indian team came out to bat and scored a huge score of 201 runs for 5 wickets, thanks to captain Harmanpreet Kaur's fifty and Richa Ghosh's quick innings. Opener Shefali Verma also played a quick innings of 37 runs.
The Indian women's team came out against UAE on Sunday with the intention of securing a place in the semi-finals of the Asia Cup. After winning the toss against India, UAE captain Isha Rohit Ojha decided to bowl first. Indian opener Smriti Mandhana, who was in top form, returned after getting out on just 13 runs, while Shefali Verma also got out after playing a quick innings of 37 runs in 18 balls. Soon after this, Dayalan Hemalatha lost her wicket on just 2 runs.
