BCCI announced the T20 and ODI team for the Sri Lanka tour on Thursday. Suryakumar Yadav has been given the command of the T20 team. Rohit Sharma will lead the ODI team. Virat Kohli is also included in the team.
Surya has overtaken all-rounder Hardik Pandya in the race for captaincy. Surya is likely to take over the reins till the T20 World Cup 2026. This is considered a big change after Gautam Gambhir became the head coach. Shubman Gill has been made the vice-captain. Under his leadership, India recently won the T20 series against Zimbabwe.
Rohit is the captain of ODI, Kohli will also play
Hitman Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will play in the ODI series.
