Why did Hardik not get the captaincy? Agarkar answered
Gautam Gambhir being appointed as the head coach brought a change in the level of captaincy in T20. Hardik Pandya, who was the vice-captain in the T20 World Cup 2024, was being replaced by Rohit Sharma after retiring from T20 Internationals. However, this did not happen. Suryakumar Yadav was made the new T20 captain for the Sri Lanka tour. Ajit Agarkar answered this. He said, “Pandya is still one of the most important players for us.”
