New Delhi. The Income Tax Department has issued appropriate advice to taxpayers about ways to avoid online fraud along with warnings. The Income Tax Department has advised taxpayers to protect themselves from online fraud under cyber crime prevention. In a statement issued on 'X' post on Saturday, the Income Tax Department has given information to taxpayers about ways to avoid online fraud. The department has also suggested measures to avoid online fraud in its advice issued for taxpayers. The Income Tax Department has asked taxpayers to please note, never share your personal information. The Income Tax Department has advised taxpayers to never share their personal information – OTP, bank account, PAN and Aadhaar number with anyone. The department has advised taxpayers not to click on any unverified link related to the Income Tax Department. Along with this, taxpayers have been advised to file their income tax return by logging on to the official e-filing website of the Income Tax Department.
