Muzaffarnagar ,
Before the Kanwar Yatra starting from 22nd July, the shopkeepers of food and fruit shops in Muzaffarnagar have written their names and hung them. Actually, the police had instructed all the shopkeepers on the Kanwar route to write the name of the proprietor or the person working in their shops on their carts, so that there is no confusion among the Kanwariyas. So some have written Arif Aam Wala on their carts and some have hung Nisar Phal Wala's slip. The Kanwar Yatra route of about 240 kilometers falls in Muzaffarnagar, so it is an important district. But after this order of the Yogi government, a controversy has arisen. The names of the dhabas have been changed here. Babu Da Dhaba has been renamed as Babu Khan Dhaba. Along with this, the name of the operator Babu Khan has also been written on the board.
Let us tell you that the owner of Babu Da Dhaba is a Muslim and the manager is a Hindu. But after this decision of the government, the Dhaba employees are worried about their safety. They say that when the Kanwar Yatra and the arrival of Kanwariyas will start, if they see 'Khan' anywhere after eating, they can even beat us up.
Vehicles are not stopping at the Dhaba because of the name 'Khan'
Babu Da Dhaba located in Khatauli, Muzaffarnagar is managed by Akash Sharma. He said that we are all Hindu employees. The Dhaba belongs to Babu Khan. His name on the Aadhar card is just Babu and the police has forced him to write 'Khan' along with his name (Babu) at the entry point. Akash told that first the UP Police forced us to remove “ji” from the name of the Dhaba, then forced us to write Babu Dhaba on the board. This is a pure vegetarian Dhaba. But now vehicles are not stopping at the Dhaba because of the name 'Khan'. We are Hindus, but when the uproar starts, even we Hindus will not be safe.
BJP's allies are opposing the decision of Yogi government
On the Kanwar route, the Yogi government of UP says that every shop will have to disclose the name and identity of the shopkeeper to maintain religious purity, the argument given was that this is also necessary for law and order, but the allies of the Modi government are opposing the decision of the Yogi government. JDU, LJP and RLD have all opposed it. JDU General Secretary KC Tyagi said that a bigger Kanwar Yatra than UP takes place in Bihar, but there is no such order there. At the same time, RLD General Secretary Trilok Tyagi said that there should not be religion and caste in politics. This is not right, the tradition of writing names outside shops is wrong. On the other hand, Union Minister and BJP ally Chirag Paswan said that he does not support the decision of Muzaffarnagar Police to disclose the names of shops and shopkeepers. Not only this, it is also being alleged that not only names are being changed in the name of religion, but Muslim employees are also being removed.
The names of these shops have been changed
What was Lover's Tea Point till now has now become Vakil Ahmed Tea Stall. The difference is that where earlier it was not clear which religion the shopkeeper belonged to, now it is clear that this is a Muslim tea shop. On the other hand, the name of Cheetal Grand has not changed, but now it is written outside that its owner is Shariq Rana. In Muzaffarnagar, mango sellers have written that this is Nisar's cart, it is written on the poster outside that this is Shah Alam's tea and paan shop. Proprietor Mohammad Danish's Baithak Cafe has now become Chaudhary Irfan's Chaudhary Hotel. The name has been changed to Yunus Tea Stall and Mohammad Danish's Juice Corner. In Muzaffarnagar, Sangam Shuddh Bhojanalaya has to change its name to Salim Shuddh Bhojanalaya, because the owner of Sangam Shuddh Bhojanalaya is Mohammad Salim.
UP's rule is also applicable in Uttarakhand
Politics has knocked not only in Uttar Pradesh but in the entire country regarding the order for shops revealing name and identity. The reason why this is happening is the month of Sawan which starts from 22nd July. From western Uttar Pradesh to Haridwar in Uttarakhand, lakhs of devotees walk with Kanwad, the rule made in Uttar Pradesh has been implemented in Uttarakhand as well. Like western UP, now in Haridwar too, it will have to be told outside the shops whether the shop is of Salim or Saurabh. Whether the shop is of Rahim or Rajiv.
What do the Kanwadis say?
Devotees immersed in devotion to Lord Shiva, who bring Gangajal and offer it to their deity Lord Shiva, are happy that the Yogi government's decision is correct and the names and identities of the shops should be disclosed. On the other hand, the police claimed that if someone comes thinking that Sangam is a pure restaurant and later it is found out that it is Salim's, then there have been disputes about this earlier. This time there should be no dispute, law and order should not be disturbed. Therefore, this decision has been taken.
The question arises that the rule is only made for the name and identity outside the food shops, then are Muslim employees being removed from the dhabas and hotels? Shiva Punjabi Tourist Dhaba is written on the board of a dhaba in Muzaffarnagar. The owner is Vishwajeet Chaudhary written below. That is, the name is Hindu, the owner is also Hindu, but here the manager and one employee were Muslims, so for the time being they have been sent on leave. All Hindu employees are working in Shiva Punjabi Tourist Dhaba, to prove this, a copy of the Aadhar card of every employee has been pasted on the dhaba. There is Sakshi Tourist Dhaba in Muzaffarnagar itself, this dhaba on the Delhi-Dehradun highway claims that four Muslim employees were removed, Sakshi Tourist Dhaba's owner Lokesh Bharti says that the rule was made to maintain law and order, under its cover some people have started doing excesses.
