Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui says he doesn't care about money, but admits that money is the reason for working in the South Indian film industry. In an interview, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui admitted that his acting in these South Indian films was cheating because he did not have complete control over his characters. Also, someone had to explain his lines to him before the shoot. But, as the money pays so well, he decides to act.
Speaking at Filmfare, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui was asked about his foray into South India where he worked in films starring Rajinikanth and Venkatesh. Admitting that he has a 'lack of control' over these shows, he says, “When I do something like Raman Raghav, I command my emotions, my thoughts, my soul. When I do South Indian films, I am not so sure. But since I get paid well, I go ahead with it. I feel guilty. “They are paying me well, but I don't know what is going on.”
To describe what he does in those films, Nawaz said, 'cheat is the right word'. The audience won't know, but I do. It's like doing an ad. I have no feelings for that product. All I can see is the money being paid to me,” he said. But in the same interview, Nawaz said that he did not become an actor for money, but for the love of art technique.
“There is a sugar factory in our village Budana. I could have earned that much money if I had stayed there,” he said. He explains why he doesn't do theater anymore. She said that she had lost her desire to act on stage as she had struggled to make it in films for so long, and that working in theater would eliminate the possibility of doing any other work at the same time. Nawaz recently starred in the Zee5 film Raadu Ka Raas. He has acted in South Indian films like Chaindavam and Petta.
