Noida. A video of a court clerk posted in the court of Assistant Police Commissioner of Noida accepting bribe from a history-sheeter went viral on social media. A case has been registered in this matter and the Phase-One police station has arrested the court clerk and the history-sheeter. The court clerk was presented in the Anti-Corruption Court in Meerut, from where he was sent to jail in judicial custody. The Police Commissioner said that the zero tolerance policy on corruption will continue in future as well.
Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh said that on Thursday evening, a video went viral on various social media platforms, in which a policeman in plain clothes was seen taking five hundred rupee notes from a person. The video was said to be of the Assistant Commissioner of Police's court located in Sector 6. When the video was investigated, the matter turned out to be true and the person taking the bribe was identified as Head Constable Rahul Kumar. Rahul, who lives in Sector-40, is currently posted as Court Munshi in the office of Assistant Commissioner of Police / Special Executive Magistrate II located in Sector 6. When the top officials took cognizance of the video and started investigating the matter, it was revealed that Vicky, a resident of Vandana Enclave of Khoda Colony, Ghaziabad, is a history-sheeter and several cases are registered against him in other police stations including Police Station Phase-One. Sector-24 police had taken preventive action against him. For this, he has to come to the office of the Executive Magistrate located in Sector-6 every 14 days. Vicky was giving a bribe of two thousand rupees to Court Munshi Rahul for granting bail and fixing a date in this case. The video of the bribery case which has gone viral on social media was made by Vicky himself. He said that as soon as the matter came to light, the police accused court clerk Rahul was suspended with immediate effect. After this, policeman Rahul and history-sheeter Vicky were arrested on Friday evening.
The video of bribe taking between the clerk and the criminal which went viral begins with a conversation between Rahul and the history-sheeter. Meanwhile, the person gives 500-rupee notes. After taking the bribe, Rahul counts the money and keeps it in the cupboard of his table and then writes something in the register with a dull pencil. Meanwhile, the youth asks about not coming tomorrow. Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh said that the zero tolerance policy on corruption continues. No kind of corruption will be tolerated in the department. If anyone is found involved in corruption, strict action will be taken against him.
